Terms of Use

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Gopin S.A.S., Calle 122 #19-59, Bogotá, Colombia, the operator of Curio. By creating an account or using Curio, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Curio.

2. Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Curio is not designed for children and you may not create an account for someone under 18.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless applicable law says otherwise. One person may not impersonate another or transfer an account without our written permission.

4. Free and paid features

Curio offers free features and may offer optional paid features or automatically renewing subscriptions. The App Store shows the price, billing period, trial terms, and included access before you confirm a purchase. Apple processes payment and manages billing.

A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple’s rules. You can restore eligible purchases in Curio. Refunds are handled under Apple’s policies and applicable law.

Deleting your Curio account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately before deleting the account if you do not want it to renew.

5. AI and learning information

Curio uses automated systems to transcribe speech, analyze explanations, and generate text or images. These results are designed for learning and practice. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose and are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

You remain responsible for checking important facts and deciding how to use a result. Do not rely on Curio where an error could cause harm or violate another person’s rights.

6. Content you provide

You keep ownership of content you submit, such as explanations, topics, and source text. You give us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, process, adapt, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve Curio. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backup copies and legal retention.

Only submit content you have the right to use. Do not submit confidential information you are not authorized to share or personal information about another person without a valid reason and permission.

7. Generated content

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use content Curio generates for you. Similar or identical output may be generated for other people, and we do not promise that generated content is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not break the law, infringe rights, harass others, or create or distribute harmful, deceptive, abusive, or exploitative content.
• Do not attempt to access another account, bypass safeguards, probe the service, introduce malicious code, scrape at scale, or disrupt Curio or its providers.
• Do not reverse engineer Curio except where the law expressly allows it.
• Do not use Curio or its output to make high-impact decisions about another person or to build a competing model or service through automated extraction.

9. Curio’s materials

Curio, its character, app, design, software, lessons, branding, and other materials supplied by us are owned by Gopin S.A.S. or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Curio’s intellectual property.

10. Third-party services

Curio relies on services provided by Apple, Supabase, Cloudflare, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and RevenueCat. Their own terms may apply to their direct relationship with you. If you downloaded Curio from Apple, Apple’s standard licensed application terms also apply where required; Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting Curio.

11. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features to improve Curio, protect users, comply with law, or respond to technical and commercial needs. We will give reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects paid access, unless urgent safety or legal action is required.

You may stop using Curio or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly violate these terms, create risk, or use the service unlawfully. When practical, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us.

12. Service availability and warranties

We work to keep Curio reliable, but the service may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, Curio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied guarantees beyond rights that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protections.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gopin S.A.S. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities arising from use of Curio. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the greatest extent the law permits. This section does not exclude liability that applicable law says cannot be limited.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without overriding consumer rights that apply where you live. Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it. Subject to mandatory law, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Bogotá, Colombia.

15. Changes and contact
